Chemistry - Industrial Chemistry Track

Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Programs

The track in “Industrial Chemistry” is intended for students planning to go into industry and who wish to incorporate some core Chemical Engineering courses into their program. With proper choice of engineering electives students will be prepared for graduate programs in Chemical Engineering as well as in Chemistry. In particular, this program qualifies students for admission to a co-terminal MS degree program in Chemical Engineering. Students considering this option should consult with Chemical Engineering regarding the choice of electives and MS course requirements.

Like the traditional “Chemistry” track, it provides a sound background in Chemistry but also includes a solid core of Chemical Engineering courses. A total of 128 credit hours are required for graduation. Students should select elective courses in consultation with the academic advisor to give a balanced program totaling 128 credit hours.

Courses can be taken out of sequence as long as prerequisites are followed.
