ERTH 4750 - Geographic Information Systems in the Sciences


Introduction to analysis and interpretation of spatial data and their presentation on maps. In this computationally intensive course, students will obtain practical skills and hands-on experience with GIS applications. Concepts covered include map projections, geoprocessing, cartography, terrain modeling, georeferencing, interpolation, and GPS.

 

Prerequisite: CSCI 1200  , ERTH 1125  or ERTH 1200 ; or permission of instructor.
