CHEM 1100 - Principles of Chemistry I


This course provides a foundational understanding of the principles of chemistry, emphasizing atomic and molecular structure, chemical bonding, periodic trends, and basic thermodynamics. Key topics include an introduction to acid-base chemistry, elementary chemical equilibrium, and an overview of organic chemistry concepts. The course integrates theoretical learning with practical application, featuring a laboratory component designed to reinforce lecture material and provide students with hands-on experience in conducting experiments and applying scientific concepts. 

Students cannot receive credit for this course and CHEM 1110  or CHEM 1120 .
