MANE 4560 - Robotics I A survey of the fundamental issues necessary for the design, analysis, control, and implementation of robotic systems. The mathematical description of robot manipulators in terms of kinematics and dynamics. Hardware components of a typical robot arm. Path following, control, and sensing. Examples of several currently available manipulators.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: MATH 2400 Introduction to Differential Equations and (MATH 2010 Multivariable Calculus and Matrix Algebra or (MATH 2011 and MATH 2012 )), and knowledge of MATLAB and Python.
When Offered: Fall term annually
Cross Listed: Cross listed as ECSE 4480 / ECSE 6470 , CSCI 4480 , and MANE 6120 Robotics I. Students cannot obtain credit for both this course and any of the cross-listed courses.
