The Dual Major in Business & Management (BGMT) and Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences (GSAS) is a cutting-edge, interdisciplinary program designed for students who are passionate about both the business of entertainment and the creative, technical aspects of game design and simulation. This unique program blends the strategic insights of business with the innovative techniques of game development, equipping students with the skills to lead in the rapidly growing and evolving field of interactive media and simulation technology.

Students will gain a solid foundation in business principles such as finance, marketing, operations, and organizational leadership, while also immersing themselves in the world of games and simulation, learning about game design, user experience, artificial intelligence, and interactive storytelling. This dual degree empowers graduates to manage creative teams, drive the development of innovative games and simulations, and navigate the commercial aspects of the gaming and simulation industries, from project management to market analysis.

Graduates of this dual major will be well-equipped to pursue careers in game development, simulation design, interactive media, product management, and entertainment business management. With expertise in both business and creative production, they will be prepared to lead interdisciplinary teams, drive market success, and shape the future of gaming and simulation technologies across diverse industries.

This dual major is fulfilled by completing the curricular requirements of both the BGMT and GSAS majors. It consists of core classes in BGMT and GSAS. The students’ Science Core is fulfilled through a combination of the curriculum of the GBGMT and GSAS majors, and students have flexibility in their curriculum with two free electives for deepening their learning in an area of their own choosing.
