Astronomy Minor

Program Requirements

Physics and Applied Physics majors are required to take four courses or 16 credits at the 2000 or 4000 level with the ASTR course code.

To complete an astronomy minor, a student should take:

• ASTR 2050 - Introductory Astronomy and Astrophysics Credit Hours: 4

•  

And two of the following:

• ASTR 4120 - Observational Astronomy Credit Hours: 4
• ASTR 4510 - Origin of Life: A Cosmic Perspective Credit Hours: 3
• ASTR 4960 - Topics in Astronomy and Astrophysics Credit Hours: 4
