COGS 6310 - Research Methods and Statistics II This course is the second in a two-semester sequence on research methods and statistics in the behavioral sciences. It covers approaches to statistical modeling and inference that lie within the null hypothesis significance testing (NHST) framework as well as alternative frameworks. Students will learn how to analyze various kinds of data using linear regression and analysis of variance and gain proficiency with the R programming language and software environment for statistical computing. Students will carry out a research project and give a formal presentation of the findings.
