CSCI 4280 - Graph Mining This class is an introduction to graph processing and mining. Students will learn about research and analytical challenges related to the study of real-world graphs. Course topics may include, but are not limited to: general graph processing techniques, connectivity and centrality algorithms, recommender systems, link prediction, community detection, subgraph mining, graph neural networks, random graph models, random walks, and the interplay between graphs and linear algebra. Course activities include programming assignments, paper presentations, and a semester-long project involving a proposal presentation, update presentation, and final presentation and writeup.
Prerequisite: CSCI 2300
