CHEM 4630 - Technical and Leadership skills for Academia/Industry Segmented into four modules; grant writing, project management, statistical tools, and intellectual property, students are introduced to an industrial scientist’s perspective to: (i) garner funding for R&D projects (proposal writing, general PI training), (ii) effectively manage project work (administrative/programmatic aspects/tools), (iii) execute on a project/problem leveraging so-called ‘Design of Experiment’ (DoE) tools, and (iv) protect project work-products through intellectual property (IP) filings.
May not receive credit for both 4000 and 6000 level versions of this course.
