IHSS 6050 - Qualitative Research Writing

This course supports interdisciplinary humanities and social science graduate students in preparing strong proposals for external funding and providing a structured process for turning course papers into journal articles. The assignments and feedback will also support STS graduate students’ comprehensive examination process, which requires a preliminary plan for dissertation research and preparation of a publication-ready paper. STS PhD students are required to take this course in their first year. It is suggested that they take it as an elective in their second or third year as well.
