ENGR 6231 - Lean Six Sigma II Building on the experience with DMAIC, students learn to identify the need for a new process, quantify its value and create it so that the quality of the results meet a predefined quality standard. To do so, the Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, Optimize, and Verify (DMADOV) is used. The first three phases of DMAIC lay the foundation, but new tools and skills are learned in the context of new process creation. These include: developing an elevator speech, data collection and statistical methods for design of experiments (DOE), root cause analysis, and developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards.
