COGS 4880 - Language-Endowed Intelligent Agents

This course will concentrate on explanation-capable knowledge-based cognitive intelligent agents capable of acting as members of human-agent teams. The course will emphasize meaning-oriented language processing and cognitive robotics. We will discuss cognitive and cognitive-robotic architectures, the modeling of perception, decision-making and physical and verbal action, knowledge required by the agents and prospects for using generative AI to aid in the development of cognitive agents.
