PHYS 1100 - Physics I (M) The first semester of a two-semester sequence of calculus-based Physics courses. Topics include linear and angular kinematics and dynamics, work and energy, momentum and collisions, forces and fields, gravitation, oscillatory motion, waves, sound, and interference. This course includes a lab component that is intended to provide students with hands-on as well as data analysis experience.
This course is limited to first-semester students and includes a regular Student Life and subject mentoring and collaborative problem solving sessions.
Corequisite: PHYS 1101
Prerequisite or Corequisite: MATH 1010 or equivalent or permission of instructor.
