PHYS 2620 - Optics An introduction to the properties of light and its interactions with matter. Topics include wave, particle, and ray treatments of light; geometrical optics and imaging systems; interference and diffraction; polarization; and Fourier methods for imaging and pulses. A laboratory is included.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: PHYS 1200 or PHYS 1250 , and MATH 2400 .
When Offered: Spring term annually.
