STSS 1620 - Design, Innovation, and Society The course will cover fundamental concepts in the social sciences that are relevant to design and innovation; an introduction to ways of thinking about technology, design, values, and society; basic concepts relevant to innovation in the global economy; and an introduction to entrepreneurship with a focus on social entrepreneurship and triple-bottom-line or “social” businesses.
