Program Requirements

To complete an astronomy minor, a student should take:

• ASTR 2050 - Introductory Astronomy and Astrophysics Credit Hours: 4

• AND

• PHYS 2110 - Modern Physics Credit Hours: 4

• OR

• PHYS 2510 - Quantum Physics Credit Hours: 4

•  

And two of the following:

• ASTR 4120 - Observational Astronomy Credit Hours: 4
• ASTR 4510 - Origin of Life: A Cosmic Perspective Credit Hours: 3
• ASTR 4960 - Topics in Astronomy and Astrophysics Credit Hours: 4
