Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering Data Science is a non-thesis post-bachelor’s degree program intended for those who wish to pursue a career in biomedical engineering in the area of image analysis and processing, in planning pre-clinical and clinical trials and analyzing associated data or engage in advanced research that require data science skills upon graduation. The program is designed to cover a broad range of data science techniques related to biostatistics, advanced multivariate statistics, machine learning and artificial intelligence. Besides offering a solid foundation of data science techniques, the program also allows to specialize in application-specific areas such as economics, big data policies, molecular modeling, as well as data and society. To underpin the practical nature of this M.Eng. program, a four credit data science project is offered to apply the skills learned in the classroom to a biomedical engineering challenge.
Please note: Courses that have previously been taken for another degree, cannot be used for this degree. Instead, the requirement for taking the course is waived and students need to take additional data science elective courses to reach 30 credits used for this degree.
