Civil Engineering (Professional Master’s Program)

This program is intended for Rensselaer undergraduate students who wish to continue their education at Rensselaer and obtain a Master’s degree.  Requirements for this co-terminal master’s degree are the same as those for the regular master’s degree, and both M.Eng. and M.S. options are available in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Transportation Engineering.

Students in the co-terminal program complete their bachelor’s degree upon satisfying all curriculum requirements and then typically complete their Master’s degree within one additional year. Students in this program are typically eligible to continue their undergraduate financial aid.

A minimum Grade Point Average of 3.2 is required for acceptance into the co-terminal program. Applications are generally due early in the fall semester of the senior year.
