Philosophy of Logic, Computation, and Mind Minor

This minor focuses on the nature of reasoning and formal systems, and the relations they bear on the study of mind and consciousness whether natural or artificial (artificial intelligence, AI).

To complete this minor, students must choose a minimum of four (4) Philosophy courses distributed as follows:

Choose one:

INQR 1140 - Minds and Machines Credit Hours: 4
PHIL 1110 - Introduction to Philosophy Credit Hours: 4

Take the following:

PHIL 2140 - Introduction to Logic Credit Hours: 4

Choose two (2) additional courses from the following list (4 credit hours each)

(At least one of these two courses must be at the 4000 level.)

PHIL 4140 - Intermediate Logic Credit Hours: 4
