Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s graduate program in Mechanical Engineering is the natural next step for engineers ready to lead teams and projects in complex organizations and environments. Experienced engineers are asked to take on larger and more complex tasks as they progress in their career. New career opportunities require broader and deeper capability sets. Rensselaer’s program gives students the breadth and depth needed no matter what the chosen career path, no matter what the organizational challenge is presented.
The program is taught by Rensselaer’s outstanding and highly-ranked engineering faculty. The program provides opportunities to learn through application, often choosing projects that help propel students forward in their careers. Students in the program are working professionals with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. They will benefit from the following:

Degree Information
- The program results in a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering degree.
