Return to: Schools & Departments
A minor in architecture is directed toward Rensselaer students interested in architecture as a socio-cultural phenomenon, the student who intends to study architecture at the graduate level, and/or those envisioning a career in some segment of the building industry. The minor program provides an exposure to architecture—what it is, what it includes, its history, how it is accomplished; and to architects—who they are and how they think and work. ARCH 2150 The Ethos of Architecture, ARCH 2510 Materials and Design, ARCH 2370 Energy, Comfort and Ecology are required. Students select the remaining courses in Architecture to build a concentration that supports their own disciplinary interests.
