Since 1955, Rensselaer has served employers and professionals achieve career goals with graduate degrees, certificates, courses, and learning modules. Programs are fully digitally delivered and can be taken anytime, anywhere, so that employees can achieve their education while still meeting personal and professional commitments. Programs use a project-based delivery methodology so that students simultaneously deepen knowledge as well as experience in pragmatic and practical ways. Professionals seeking to build business, engineering, and analytical abilities can find Rensselaer at Work programs convenient without disrupting personal and professional commitments. Rensselaer at Work plays an important role in delivering the excellence of the Institute to working professionals anytime, anywhere, as outlined in The Rensselaer Plan 2024.

Rensselaer at Work’s mission is to educate business and technical leaders with the knowledge, analytical skills, creativity, and inspiration to think strategically, lead change, and create breakthrough solutions that meet the environmental, technical, and business challenges of the global environment now and in the future. With dramatic increases in the rate of change, working professionals expect and demand an academic environment that fits the evolving needs of their fast-paced world, and Rensselaer responds to this need in its Rensselaer at Work programs.

Additional courses, programs, and offerings are available throughout the year, including specialized programs offered specifically to employers. Courses are built and delivered by faculty with significant industry experience and solid academic credentials. Rensselaer graduates are entrepreneurial and personify the Institute’s slogan, “Why not change the world?”
