COMM 6250 - Rhetorical Theory II An introduction to modern rhetoric, with an emphasis upon the use of language as a means of generating knowledge and understanding and establishing and maintaining human communities. A study of the thetorical theories of figures such as Francis Bacon, George Campbell, Richard Whately, Kenneth Burke, C. Perelman, L. Olbrechts-Tyteca, and Michel Foucault.
