BCBP 6550 - Ethical Issues in Biotechnology This course reviews the principles of ethical behavior and responsible conduct of research and discusses specific areas of biotechnology research, medical research, and societal issues in the context of these principles. Representative topics include genetic engineering, stem cell research, assisted reproduction, human subjects, animal research, and nanotechnology. Active student participation is expected.
Prerequisite or Corequisite: Undergraduate registration only with permission of instructor.
