CHEM 2910 - Mentoring First Year Chemistry Students As a Freshmen Chemistry Mentor in the I-PERSIST program, the student is assigned to meet and provide leadership and support for two groups of students every week. The mentoring sessions will address topics such as problem-solving skills for chemistry, coping skills, time-management skills, etc.
Note that this course cannot be applied toward the satisfaction of the Institute Math/Science Core requirement.
Students are selected for participation as mentors by Student Life staff and Chemistry faculty.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: CHEM 1100 , CHEM 1110 , or CHEM 1120 ; Mentor Training Program, and permission of instructor.
