COMM 4288 - Health Communication in Practice


This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive overview of major theories, research, and practice in health communication. Upon completing this course, students will have a broad understanding of health communication and specialized knowledge in an area of interest: patient-provider communication, health-information seeking, media/health literacy and health disparities, and health communication campaigns.

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: COMM 2520  or COMM 2660  or WRIT 1110   or WRIT 2110 ; or permission of the instructor
