ECSE 4380 - Fundamentals of Solid State Lighting Systems

The design and operation of Solid State Lighting Systems including basic design and fabrication methods of light emitting diode (LED), LED thermal management, optical characterization of lighting, LED drivers, lighting sensors/control systems and selected emerging applications.

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: (PHYS 1200  or PHYS 1250 ) and (ECSE 2050  or permission of instructor).

When Offered: Fall term annually.

Credit Hours: 3
