WRIT 2320 - Creative Nonfiction Writing
This is a workshop course in which novice and more experienced student writers produce creative nonfiction-prose that aims to be both factually accurate and compelling literature; students must have a good command of written English and grammar. Focus may vary by semester among memoir, lyric and personal essays, plotted narrative, oral history, and nature writing. For models, students study classic and contemporary accomplished writers who connect the self to the larger world. Class work centers on drafting and revising essays with regular peer workshops.
