ECSE 6420 - Nonlinear Control Systems Phenomena peculiar to nonlinear systems. Linearization, iteration, and perturbation procedures. Describing function stability analysis. Phase plane methods. Relaxation oscillations and limit cycles. Stability analysis by Lyapunov’s method. Popov’s theorem. Adaptive control systems. Sensitivity analysis.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: ECSE 6400 or MANE 6600 or permission of instructor.
When Offered: Spring term odd-numbered years.
Cross Listed: MANE 6610 ; students cannot receive credit for both this course and MANE 6610 .
