BMED 4510 - Mechanobiology Mechanical regulation of biological systems. Topics include principles and concepts of mechanobiology; evolution, embryogenesis, and histogenesis of tissues with particular references to skeletal system; mechanical regulation of cellular behavior, tissue growth and organ development; concept and application of strain energy regulation in biology; application of mechanobiology to tissue regeneration; limits of mechanical regulation.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: BMED 2540 or permission from instructor (non-BME students)
