PSYC 4700 - Hormones, Brain, and Behavior This course will examine hormone and brain/behavior relationships across the lifespan. Hormones are molecules that are secreted by glands (the majority of which are located outside the brain) and have distal effects on their targets, such as the brain, throughout development. A focus will be on hormones’ effects, mechanisms, and brain regions of interest for behavior and cognitive processes, such as perception, learning/memory, social cognition, motivation, and emotion.
When Offered: Fall term odd-numbered years.
