IHSS 1420 - Global Health Challenges This course will examine and offer possible solutions to current and emerging global health issues. Our emphasis will be on social and health problems in low income and middle-income countries in contrast to the health care needs in high-income countries. We will look at selective chronic and acute illnesses, ethnomedical practices, medical ethics, and environmental racism when dealing with low-income and developing countries.
