ECSE 4720 - Solid-State Physics An introduction to theoretical and experimental solidstate physics. Wave mechanics in the perfect crystal. X-rays, electrons, and phonons. Electrical properties of metals and semiconductors. Qualitative treatment of lattice defects.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: PHYS 2220 or equivalent.
When Offered: Fall term annually.
