ECSE 2210 - Microelectronics Technology An introductory survey of microelectronics technology emphasizing physical properties of semiconductors, device and circuit fabrication, semiconductor device operation. Topics include semiconductor crystals; energy bands; electrons and holes; dopant impurities; fabrication and operation of diodes, bipolar junction transistors, and field-effect transistors.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Corequisites: ECSE 2050 and either ECSE 2100 or PHYS 4210.
When Offered: Fall and spring terms annually.
