MANE 4420 - Radiation Technology An introductory course on the generation, distribution, and interaction of ionizing radiation. Radiation sources such as radioisotopes, accelerators, focused ion beams, and cosmic rays are studied. Applications to semiconductor electronic devices, chemical polymerization, food preservation, sterilization, material modification, industrial and medical radiography, and radiation damage are presented.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: MANE 2830.
