Fall term 2019

August 9
Fall tuition and fees due.

August 25
Resident dining halls open with brunch.

August 26
Residence halls and apartments open for upperclass students.

August 28
Class of 2023 Convocation.

August 29
Classes begin.

August 30
Official date of August graduation; diplomas mailed to students after final clearance is completed in September. Degree recipients may take part in the May 2020 Commencement ceremony.

September 2
Labor Day. No classes. Staff holiday.

September 3
Classes resume. Follow a Monday Schedule.

September 13
Last day for graduate and undergraduate students to add courses, change sections, or to put courses on audit. Last day for completion of “NE” grade requirements for Spring 2019 courses.

September 20
Last day to file a Degree Application online via SIS for December 2019 graduation. Nomination of Master’s Thesis Committee forms due to the Office of Graduate Education for December graduates.

September 26-28
Reunion and Homecoming 2019.

October 14
Columbus Day. No classes.

October 18-20
Family Weekend.

October 19
Honors Convocation in EMPAC.

October 21-November 1
Consultation weeks.  Advisement for Spring 2020 registration. Students should consult with their faculty advisers.
October 25
Last day for undergraduate and graduate students to drop a course.

November 1
Doctoral dissertations due to advisers.

November 4-18
Registration opens for all currently enrolled students for the Spring 2020 semester.

November 8
Master’s theses and engineering projects due to advisers.

November 18
Master’s theses due in the Office of Graduate Education. Last day to defend doctoral dissertations.

Last day for undergraduates to add or remove Pass/No Credit designation.

Thanksgiving recess begins after last class. Resident dining halls close after dinner
