EPOW 6850 - Electric and Magnetic Fields in Electric Power Engineering Review of electromagnetic theory required to undertake analysis and design of power equipment. Experimental, analog, and digital field estimation techniques. Case studies in electric and magnetic fields such as cable and bushing design, problems of gas bus systems, electrostatic precipitation, magnetic flux penetration, eddy currents, losses, shielding, generation of torque.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: ECSE 2100, EPOW 4010, and EPOW 4020 or their equivalents.
