ITWS 6250 - Database Applications and Systems (DBAS)


This advanced course in database applications and database systems provides students with a strong foundation in modern database design, data modeling, data normalization, SQL, NoSQL, query optimization, database security, and how databases fit into larger software architectures.  Substantial programming and design projects are required. 

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, and proficiency in a higher-level programming langauge is an advantage.

When Offered: Fall term annually.



Cross Listed: ITWS-4250. Students may receive credit for only one of ITWS-4250, ITWS-6250 or CSCI-4380.
