MGMT 4530 - Starting Up a New Venture An understanding of the critical issues related to starting up a new business is gained through team-based experiential learning. Small teams of students develop a comprehensive business plan that can be used to raise money for a new or relatively new venture. The business plans are eligible for submission to the Rensselaer Business Plan Competition. The experiential learning process is enhanced through team meetings with faculty and/or course advisers and through oral presentations to the entire class.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: MGMT 4520 Intro to Technological Entrepreneurship or permission of the instructor.
When Offered: Fall and spring terms annually.
Cross Listed: MGMT 6630. Students cannot receive credit for both MGMT 4530 and MGMT 6630.
