MANE 4800 - Boundary Layers and Heat Transfer
The Navier-Stokes equations and the boundary layer approximation. Exact solutions and integral methods of incompressible boundary layers. Transition; turbulence. Convective heat transfer in laminar and turbulent flow.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: MANE 4070 Aerodynamics I or MANE 4010 Thermal and Fluids Engineering II or MANE 4720 Fluid Mechanics.
When Offered: Fall and spring terms annually.
