MANE 4080 - Propulsion Systems
Analysis of thrust generation from rockets, gas turbines, and propellers. Applications of one- and two-dimensional compressible flow to analysis of propulsion systems. Gas turbine component performance including diffusers and nozzles, turbomachinery, and combustors.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: MANE 4070 Aerodynamics I, or MANE 4010 Thermal and Fluids Engineering II, or MANE 4400 Nuclear Power Systems Engineering, or MANE 2710 Thermodynamics and MANE 2720 Fluid Mechanics, or permission of instructor.
When Offered: Fall term annually.
