PHIL 2400 - Philosophy of Biology This course examines a number of issues related to biology through the lens of philosophical analysis, such as situations in which more than one theory fits the data, the impact of preconceived notions on research and reception of discoveries, nature and nurture, implications of the view that important aspects of our psychology are explainable in terms of our evolutionary heritage, whether ethics may be a survival adaptation, and the ethics of reviving extinct species.
