PSYC 4310 - Experimental Methods and Statistics


This course providess an introduction to basic methods of psychological research and the use of statistics to analyze and interpret psychological data. Topics include experimental methodology and reseach design, data collection and analysis, and written communication of results. Students will also gain proficiency with SPSS software. Each student will be expected to propose and carry out a significiant research project and prepare a formal report that comports with formatting guidelines promulgated by the American Psychological Association. This is a communication-intensive course.

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite:  PSYC 1200 and/or permission of instructor.

When Offered: Fall and spring terms annually.
